Diagnostic Wax
I have learned that esthetically pleasing and long lasting results are obtained by meticulous examination and record taking to determine the proper diagnosis. Once the diagnosis is accurately obtained, a treatment plan can be created to deliver the desired result. Diagnostic wax is so helpful because I can design the teeth in a way where they functionally work, are esthetically pleasing and can be viewed by the patient before they commit to treatment. Diagnostic wax allows me to develop the least invasive treatment plan that satisfies the patients desires. In other words, “I give the patient the least amount of dentistry that gets the job done.”

A common aesthetic concern for patients is that with age and use, teeth wear and become shorter in appearance.
Over time, many people feel their teeth are not visible when speaking. To make matters worse, as we age the upper lip tends to “sag” down making the upper front teeth harder to see.
In these situations, diagnostic wax is used to create fuller and longer teeth and then transferred to the patient in temporary crowns.
Once we determine we have solved the aesthetic challenge, New porcelain materials are placed to complete the case.
